EPL: Ronaldo's Debut Brace Overwhelms Newcastle At Old Traff

Cristiano Ronaldo's presence back in Manchester United colours was instantly felt by Newcastle as his brace paves way for a 4-1 thrashing of Steve Bruce's men at Old Trafford on Premier League matchday 4.

Just at the end of the first half, Newcastle's goalkeeper Freddie Woodman spilled Mason Greenwood's shot for Ronaldo to pounce on, reopening his goal account for United.

After the halftime break, United was caught on the break by clever moves from Saint-Maximin ending with Javier Manquillo rounding De Gea off in style.

Ronaldo rose to Manchester's help when he raced down into the box after collecting the ball from Luke Shaw to finish off Woodman through his legs.

From then on, it was goal fest for United with Bruno Fernandes' long-range strike burying any hopes of Newcastle coming back into the game.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made a few substitutes -- Sancho coming off for Anthony Martial while Jesse Lingard came on for Bruno.

Lingard repaid the faith with a curler into the net after Pogba's sleek pass and Martial's dummy left him clear on goal.
