EPL Round 1: Castagne, Wilson, Gabriel Debut Goals (Video)

The English Premier League (EPL) Round 1 had a lot of excitement with Timothy Castagne, Callum Wilson, and Gabriel opening scoring account in the English top-flight as they helped their sides to win the first match of the season.

Timothy Castagne (Belgium) Leicester City 

Castagne celebrates debut goal for Leicester vs West Brom

Timothy Castagne signed for Leicester City from Atalanta and the Belgian international scored his first-ever goal (debut) against West Brom to opened his goal account for himself and Leicester City.

He was part of the Atalanta incredible team that almost went all the way to the UEFA Champions League final if not for a defeat against PSG.

A lovely cross from Dennis Praet into the box was met with Castagne's head which sent the ball to the back of the net to leave the keeper dumfounded.

His goal gave Leicester City comfort before a brace from Jamie Vardy took Leicester to 3-0 at the end of 90 minutes.

Callum Wilson (England) Newcastle United

Callum Wilson scores debut goal for Newcastle against West Ham

Callum Wilson left Bournemouth for Newcastle after the Cherries suffered relegation. 

Wilson wasted no time proving to his new employers how valuable he is, as he scored Newcastle's first goal of the 2020-21 season in the EPL.

It was a lovely cross from Javier Manquillo, which was lifted higher by Hendrick's header for Wilson to tuck it into the net past the hands of Lukasz Fabianski. 

Gabriel (Brazil) Arsenal

Gabriel debut goal celebration vs Fulham

Arsenal has being busy restructuring the team to compete both domestically and in Europe which saw Gabriel join the Emirate camp in England.

He was shown loads of confidence by Mikel Arteta when he was handed a start in the match against Fulham on matchday 1.

He repaid the confidence to extend the lead after Alexandre Lacazette scored to put Arsenal ahead in the game.

A corner kick from Willian was met by Gabriel's head to beat Rodak. The goal killed Fulham's hope of an early equalizer in the second half before Arsenal skipper killed off the game with a curler. The match ended at 3-0 after 90 mins.
