Kai Havertz Celebrates Goal for Chelsea vs West Ham United

Second-half substitutes Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell saved Chelsea in narrow 2-1 win over West Ham United as VAR saves Blues from another London derby draw.

Injury-plagued Chilwell scored and provided an assist for Havertz to make it 3 wins from 6 for Thomas Tuchel's side.

In a rather frustrating first half as Michael Antonio kept Thiago Silva on his toes as both players go toe-to-toe in the final third.

Antonio finally get his first goal of this campaign with a tap-in a cross from Declan Rice to open the scoring.

Tuchel made two important changes that change the match with Marc Cucurella off for Chilwell while Armando Broja for Conor Gallagher.

The former scored the leveler for Chelsea, receiving the ball from Silva over the top and tap the ball through outrushing Fabianski's legs.

Chelsea had the final say with a low ball cutback from the right from Chilwell to Havertz who came in for Kovacic.

The German playmaker turn striker slammed the ball past Fabianski to make it 2-1.

For a complete London derby, a late drama sprung up when Edouard Mendy came out to win a ball from Jarod Bowen but unable to hold it due to a step-on by Bowen, spilled for Cornet to roof in.

After a check by Video Assistant Referee (VAR), the goal was chunked off for foul.

Tuchel would be happy to win crucial 3 points which takes them provisionally 5th with 10 points.

Chelsea face Fulham in another London derby while West Ham welcome Newcastle United to London Stadium.
