EPL: Traore, Watkins Send Villa Past Forest In Race For Euro

Aston Villa

Aston Villa's Traore and Watkins were the heroes in their 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest to keep Unai Emery's side on track for a place in Europe next season.

Traore scored his second goal in two games to break the deadlock, after being brought on as a substitute in the first half. Watkins then sealed the victory with a goal deep in injury time, taking advantage of Forest's desperate attacking efforts.

The win was crucial for Villa's European ambitions, as it marked their fourth consecutive league win and kept them on track for a place in Europe next season.

In contrast, the loss sent Forest into the relegation zone, dropping them one place to 18th in the Premier League table, with 27 points after their ninth game without a victory.

Despite Forest's attacking efforts, they failed to find the back of the net, with Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez clearing away a dangerous chance in the 76th minute.
