Equatorial Guinea skipper Nsue elated after clash with Super

Equatorial Guinea skipper Emilio Nsue was elated with his sides performance where he acknowledged that the Super Eagles was the better side when they met in the AFCON opener on Sunday.

Jose Peseiro's Super Eagles were the better team from an indication but their inability to close down the opposition caused them the three points.

“They were better in the first half, I think we played a very good game. But this is the way. We have to improve on our mistakes,” Nsue said after the game.

“For us here, we are happy with the point, we are not happy with the performance. So, we have to look at the next game.

“For us, the next game is the most important one.”

Nigeria's next game will be against Ivory Coast on Thursday evening with the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Terem Moffi expected to be boost to the side ahead of the high profile encounter.

The Equatorial Guinea side will be playing against Guinea-Bissau on the same day.
