Europa League Final: Carlos Overhead-Kick Seals Title, 6th Time For Sevilla After Defeating Inter Milan

Europa League Final: Carlos Overhead-Kick Seals Title, 6th T

Sevilla wins the Europa League for the 6th time in club history giving Julen Lopetegui his first major trophy in his career after defeating Inter Milan 3-2 in Cologne, Germany. Antonio Conte's men went ahead early in the game through Lukaku's penalty goal but could not contain the Spanish side and allow 3 goals in before 90 minutes. Luuk De Jong's brace and Diego Carlos overhead kick sealed win for the La Liga side.

Diego Carlos moved from being a loser to a hero on the night after scoring the final kick on the night.

Romelu Lukaku was on point for Inter Milan but his goal was not enough to help the Italian side win their first European trophy. Sevilla Luuk De Jong was so clinical on the night scoring a brace with his head and Carlos paid Sevilla back the first goal he caused by scoring an overhead kick off Lukaku's body to seal the 3-2 scoreline in Germany.

Several players in the Sevilla squad are tasting their first European trophy, individuals such as Reguilon, En Neysri, Ocampos, Vazquez, Suso.
