Everton to hijack Sevilla's move for Hannibal Mejbri's

Everton are said to be in the bid to sign Manchester United's youngster Hannibal Mejbri on loan for the rest of the season.

The Manchester United side have made an extension to the players' contract with the current deal now expected to last up until June 2025.

All the same, the African star is expected to leave the club on loan this January, more especially as his first team place wouldn't be feasible in the second half of the season.

This could become the case as established names like Brazil's Casemiro and English midfield player Mason Mount are set to return to the United squad.

The Tunisia star has turned down interest from a number of club sides with Freiburg and Olympic Lyon among others but is open to making the switch to Spanish giants Sevilla.

According to reliable sources, Everton are looking set to hijack the deal ahead of Sevilla, with the aim of keeping him in the Premier League.

With the lots making the rounds in the transfer window this period it would be noteworthy to see how it happens on the case of midfielder Hannibal Mejbri.
