The ex-Senator representing Zamfara Central Senatorial District, Kabir Garba Marafa has reacted to reports linking him with the arrested notorious bandit, Abdulmuminu Moossa.
The ex-lawmaker described the report linking him with the said bandit as malicious, wicked and misleading.
In a statement issued by his Media Office on Friday in Abuja, the former senator said the report was planned by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara to weaken his political background.
The statement read “The attention of the Media Office of Senator Kabir Garba Marafa has been drawn to a malicious, concocted, wicked lies and misleading report published by the agents of some disgruntled APC leaders.
“The report, alleging that one Abdulmuminu Moossa, a citizen of Chad Republic, said to have been arrested by the Nigerian security operatives in Sokoto State, confessed to knowing Senator Marafa for more than 7 years, was nothing but lies to dent the hard-earned reputation of the former lawmaker."
The statement added that a preliminary investigation had been conducted and it was discovered that some men working for highly political elements were behind the report.
