Home-based Super Eagles of Nigeria defender, Harold Ndah says he models his game after the Netherlands national football team captain and Liverpool shining light, Virgil van Dijk.
AllNews reports that Ndah, 22, who plays for Akwa United in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) is a member of the Nigerian national under-23 football team.
Harold is the son of former Dream Team 1 defender, Ndubuisi Ndah, who was the skipper of the team before Nwankwo Kanu took over.
Strong, athletic, powerful, good in the air and one of the few ball-playing defenders in the Nigerian league, Harold Ndah is unarguably one of the finest defenders in the NPFL.
"I model my game after Virgil van Dijk or Gerard Piqué," Ndah told AllNews exclusively.
"Van Dijk has everything you’d want in a modern-day centre-back: strength, speed, aerial prowess, leadership qualities, and ability on the ball."
The NPFL has been suspended since March following the spread of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) to the West African nation and with uncertainty surrounding the fate of the Nigerian top flight, Ndah is hungry to play active football again.
"I have been working really hard. Despite the COVID-19, I work at home and go for jogging, plus some other things.
