Explosion Not In Redemption City - RCCG

The leadership of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has debunked thenews making the rounds that an explosion occured inside the Redemption Camp.

In a statement signed by the RCCG Public Relations Department, the mission while debunking the news also empathised with the people that the incident affected.

The RCCG mission explained that the explosion occured outside the Redemption Camp and the fire service of the missing responded to the emergency as part of its community service support to its neighbours within the environ.

"We thank God the incident has been put under control. 

"We wish to inform all residents and visitors to the Redemption City that there is no scare of any sort and everyone can go  about their lawful and godly activities," the statement added.

The mission also stated that the incident has been brought under control by the combined efforts of the RCCG Fire Service and Lagos State Fire Service.

Early on Monday morning, an explosion occured inside Axella Gas depot on the Sagamu-bound traffic between the Car Park C gate and the main gate of the Redemption City.

Due to the proximity to the RCCG Redemption Camp, commuters, transporters and residents had thought the explosion occured within the city.
