Haaland has now scored a remarkable 42 goals for City since joining from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
But it wasn't just Haaland who shone for City on the day.
Julian Alvarez also got his name on the scoresheet twice, with substitute Cole Palmer scoring the team's other goal.
City's attacking firepower proved too much for Burnley, who were left chasing shadows for much of the game.

For Burnley, it was a chastening day, especially for their manager and former City hero Vincent Kompany.
Despite guiding the Championship leaders to the brink of promotion back to the Premier League, they were unable to compete with the firepower of City, who have been in scintillating form in recent weeks.
The result sees City cruise into the semifinals of the FA Cup, maintaining their hopes of winning the competition for the second consecutive season.
With Haaland in their ranks, they will be confident of achieving that feat, as the Norwegian's goalscoring exploits continue to amaze.
