The Chief Medical Director of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Professor Adetokunbo O. Fabamwo has eulogized the workforce of the state-owned tertiary institution on the occasion of the 2021 Workers Day celebration.

According to Prof Fabamwo, “Indeed, ours is a special call to save lives. This, I daresay we had been doing commendably in our hospital. We do get more praises from all strata of the society for the great work that is being done within the hospital. Nevertheless, we look forward to a time when we would not get any backlash for all the great effort put into this noble humanitarian service that we offer to Lagos.”

I would want to applaud everyone for working optimally under daunting circumstances, yet forging ahead in making the institution a citadel of medical excellence. The Board, Management, and State Government will continue to work towards rewarding and appreciating everyone’s effort.

He further charged the workers by saying, “My dear colleagues, let us remain resolute in our duty and service. We thank the State Government for the great support of our institution. Mr. Governor, His Excellency, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in particular, has a soft spot for social services in general. We pray to continue receiving the additional support from our supervisory ministry.”

The CMD equally appreciated the effort of the Governing Board of the institution for mapping out and driving reforms and growth.

LASUTH aims to become a world-class teaching hospital, using cutting-edge technology and highly developed human resources to render excellent medical care/services to the good people of Lagos State and beyond thereby reducing medical tourism.
