Falz Celebrates Fifth Anniversary Of 2016 Hit Song 'Soft Wor

Nigerian rapper and lawyer, Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz, is celebrating the fifth anniversary of his 2016 hit song 'Soft Work'.

Posting a short clip of the music video via Instagram, the 30-year-old singer said that the song was an artistic representation of his story at the time and he had much fun in the process.

Falz, known for his style of fashion with glasses without lenses, added that although not much has changed five years later, he can't say the line “mature money and I ain’t even 30 yet” anymore since he turned thirty last year.

Falz's music career began while he was in secondary school after forming a music group ‘The School Boys’ with his friends.

In 2009, he dropped a mixtape titled  ‘Shakara: The Mixtape’. He also released ‘Waz Up Guy’, ‘High Class’ and ‘Currency’ in 2011. However, the release of his song ‘Marry Me’ featuring Poe and Yemi Alade, marked the beginning of his successful music career.

The rapper has collaborated with a number of popular Nigerian acts like Davido, Simi, Olamide, Burna Boy, Wande Coal, Maleek Berry, and Ycee. He is the CEO of an independent record label known as Bahd Guys Records. According to Falz, Bahd means ‘Brilliant and Highly Distinct).
