Falz

Musician and actor Falz has expressed his excitement over the level of political awareness and engagement among Nigerians in a recent video.

Falz, who is known for using his platform to speak on social and political issues, said he never thought he would see a time when every Nigerian is focused on the politics of the nation.

Speaking about the younger generation, Falz said he is excited to see the resources at their disposal being put to use.

“What a time to be alive; a time when every Nigerian is focused on the politics of the nation.

“I never thought I would see this day but I’m so much excited to see this.

“I saw a meme where they were like ‘even Gen Z is watching Channels (TV).

“I can’t believe it. On a serious note, this is where we need to be, something is brewing.

“It’s a different generation; we have all these resources at our disposal.

“We cannot continue the same way that our parents continued.

“They will not come and serve you, you have to collect it.

“I love it, I love what I am seeing now; the energy,” Falz said.

However, he also highlighted the need to fix the bigger issues of tribalism, religious bigotry, and other forms of discrimination.

“What we need to fix is the bigger trees, the tribalism, religious, bigotry as well, all these weird and strange things I’ve been hearing.

“There is a lot of work in terms of education, in terms of exposure, in terms of enlightenment among ourselves.

“Just talk to people, talk to someone, just let them know why it doesn’t make sense.

“They actually don’t know, they don’t get it. It’s not even their fault.

“There is a lot of work to be done and it starts now.”

The musician emphasized the importance of unity among Nigerians, regardless of their ethnic or religious background.

“Whether you are Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo, whoever your candidate, we are all one and the same.

“At the end of the day, we are all Nigerians.

“As Africans, we are all the same,” he said.
