Family, Friends, Celebrities Pay Last Respect To Takeoff [Vi

On Friday night, November 11, fans, friends, and family members gathered to pay their respects to deceased rapper Takeoff, a member of the hip-hop duo Migos.

Takeoff, real name Kirsnick Khari Ball, was shot and died outside a Houston bowling alley earlier this month while out with his uncle Quavo.

At Takeoff's burial, his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset, who came to fame with him in the hip-hop duo Migos, ascended the stage alongside other notable personalities to pay respect to him.

According to TMZ, Drake delivered an emotional eulogy in which he compared himself and Migos to the Rat Pack.

As mourners gathered in the State Farm Arena, musicians such as Justin Bieber and Chloe Bailey performed musical tributes to Takeoff.

Drake praised Takeoff as "eternally balanced" at his funeral.

"Whenever he took his shades off, he had this thing about him that I adored - no matter what was going on around us, he was constantly sorta squinting but his eyes were wide open."

"Takeoff had 'been at my side, staring up at me with them eyes, same eyes you got as my sister, waiting on me to make the next step, then you followed up right behind me,' Quavo said in his eulogy.

"You always made sure I did it first so you could do it correctly with me.

"You never competed with me", Quavo, who was only three years Takeoff's senior, recalled.

"We were usually on the same team because you despised playing against me since I was always too rough or too hard.

"And I could hear Momma say, 'Don't be too tough, son," since she doesn't want to lose."

Offset, who attended the tribute with his wife, Cardi B, was moved to tears when speaking about his cousin, whom he credited with 'changing the culture of music forever.'

He implored God for'strength' for himself and his family, saying, "I don't want to question you, God.

"God, I just don’t - I don’t get it. I don’t get you sometimes."

Kevin 'Coach K' Lee and Pierre 'P' Thomas, the hip-hop moguls whose label debuted Migos, as well as Takeoff's mother and siblings, also gave statements.

Chloe Bailey performed a Beyonce song, and Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens presented the rapper with a citizen award.

Justin Bieber went on stage and performed an acoustic version of his own 2021 song Ghost, with CNN claiming that his only accompaniment was a solitary piano.

Teyana Taylor, who worked with Migos on her song Drippin, and CeeLo Green, who featured on Offset's solo song North Star, were among the VIPs that attended the burial at the State Farm Arena.
