The family members of a Nigerian Air Force officer, Endurance Eugene, who was allegedly shot dead by a member of a vigilante group called OSPAC in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State are demanding justice for the death of their son.
PUNCH disclosed that Onyemechi Eugene, the deceased’s brother made the plea in Port Harcourt.
He stated that; "I am calling for the arrest of the man that killed my brother. They should make him face the law."
The acting spokesman of the state police command, Grace Iringe-Koko, said in a statement on Wednesday that the vigilante member, who killed the man has been arrested, while investigations into the incident have started.
PUNCH reported that the deceased’s sibling said his brother came home for the Christmas holiday before the unfortunate incident happened.
The Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Dr Samuel Nwanosike, while commiserating with the deceased family, condemned the killing, he also has said that the council was working with security agencies to unravel the cause of the incident.
