Fayemi Can Lead At Any Capacity, Says Kano Governor

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has said the attributes of pedigree, vision and astuteness of Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, prepare him to handle any leadership position in the country.

"Your antecedents are fantastic because you are among those that make one to be proud to be in All Progressives Congress," he said.

He stated this on Thursday during a consultation visit to Kano by the APC Presidential Aspirant and Chairman of Nigeria's Governor's Forum to engage with the delegates at the Government House.

Represented by his deputy, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, the Governor added that the APC in Kano would not forget the contribution, solidarity and support given by Fayemi to ensure its victory during the re-run election in 2019.

"You are the only Governor that came to identify with us during the re-run election, we are still very grateful," he said.

He then wished him success during the Presidential Primaries of the party. 

Earlier, the Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi said he was in Kano to solicit support and engage with the party leaders and delegates.

"Kano is APC and APC is Kano"

"I am a founding member of the APC who has served in different capacities therefore I came to you with requisite experience".

"I am here to talk to you about my vision for a new Nigeria so that you could place me on the scale of people that you understand have mission for development therefore I urge you to join hands with me in tackling the challenges bedevilling the country," Fayemi said.
