Scavengers in the nations capital
The Federal Capital Territory Administration says it will not relent in its effort to dislodge the activities of scavengers popularly called 'babanbolas' from abuja no matter how difficult the task seems.
The administration stated this on Thursday during the removal of another notorious scavengers colony in Katampe.
Speaking after the exercise, the Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Monitoring, Inspection and Enforcement, Ikharo Attah, advised indigenes against the continous renting of their cashew plantations to scavangers.
According to Attah, the administration is determined to rid the city of babanbolas who are criminally minded refuse collector no matter where they are operating from inorder to ensure that the FCT becomes crime free.
He noted that this is not against their person and the work they do put in a bid to check the mounting insecurity in the nations capital.
