FCTA Seals Off Plaza In Wuse Over Drug Peddling

The FCT Administration on Thursday, sealed off PEB 04 Plaza garden in Wuse, following a raid and arrest of six persons for drug peddling by the operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

The Coordinator, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, Umar Shuaibu, who led officials on the raid and sealing of the plaza, directed all activities at the park to cease forthwith, adding that all illegal structures in the park will be removed as soon as possible.

Shuaibu who lamented the conversion of the Park to a drug peddling haven, expressed regret in granting the management authorization for expansion and extension,  as the administration thought it was being used for greening.

The operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency had raided the PEB0 4 plaza park on January 19  and arrested six persons for selling drug cookies and noodles.
