Federal Government Reveals Resumption Of Abuja-Kaduna Rail Line

The federal government has announced the resumption of the Abuja-Kaduna rail line months after bandits attacked it on March 28, 2022.

According to the announcement, the Abuja-Kaduna train services will be functional this month.

The update was given by the Minister of Transportation, Mu’azu Sambo while giving the scorecard of his ministry in Abuja.

Sambo, however, did not reveal the specific date of resumption but added that adequate security has been put in place to ensure the safety of passengers

He stated that the ministry has learnt its lessons from the unforgettable attack in March where lives were lost and others abducted, leading to its inevitable suspension.

The last 23 abductees were rescued in October and Sambo had said that no ransom was paid to secure their release.

He had also revealed that the victims were receiving treatment and rehabilitation.
