Female Bankers To Collaborate With FG On Economic Growth

The Association of Professional Women Bankers (APWB) has revealed its plan to partner with the Federal Government to build a strong and prosperous economy that is built on sustainable policies.

The Chairperson of APWB, Funke Ladimeji, made this disclosure in her address at the Annual General Meeting of the association.

Ladimeji said, “As bankers, and professionals in the broader financial services, APWB and her members are key actors in the growth and development of Nigeria.

“To this end, the Association of Professional Women Bankers stands ready to join hands with the government of the day, to build a strong, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.”

The chairperson acknowledged the incredible role of the banking system and financial services in the growth of the economy.

Ladimeji stressed the need for Ministers to execute the Renewed Hope Agenda, as promised by the President.

“The role of the Nigerian Banking system, and indeed the role of the broader financial services, remains critical to the success of Nigerian economy, for both economic growth and development,” she added.
