Following the recent activities of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), some Nigerian celebrities have taken to their social media pages to call for its end.
AllNews reports that this is not the first time the celebrities will call for end to SARS, over killings and abuse of human rights.
Among them is legendary afro beats star, Femi Kuti who slammed the government for saving their families lives, but putting citizens' lives at risk.
His tweet read: “How many more innocent people must SARS/the police kill before urgent steps are taken to completely overhaul and reform the entire police force?
"Obviously, government and their families are safe, and that is why they are nonchalant and indifferent.”

On his part, Small Doctor wrote “This is getting worse every day, promising lives of youths been cut short. Why should we be living in fear? Why should we be scared to move freely?

They are the most trigger happy type of policeman. Very uncool when they speak to you and ready to do anything to demean you or even take your life #EndSARS #EndSARSBrutality
Meanwhile, the minister of youth and sports development, Sunday Dare, in a statement issued by John Joshua-Akanji, his special assistant, said the ministry "is worried about the menace, increasing harassments and attacks by SARS, especially targeted at youths and other innocent members of the public, and brought it to the attention of the relevant security agencies in Abuja.”

Police brutality is sky rocketing by the day And the nigeria gov. Is not deaf nor blind, they see all the trends and tag along with whichever one they like. You don't have to like this one to do right thing. The hashtags are becoming tiring. The people are sick of it.
