FG Approves Procurement Of N2 Billion Operational Vehicles F

The federal government has approved the procurement of 52 Operational Vehicles for the Nigeria Security and Civil Denfence Corps (NSCDC).

This was made known by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola on Wednesday.

The sum of N2,024,935 was approved for the procurement of the vehicles.

Aregbesola who disclosed after the Federal Executive Council meeting presided by President Muhammadu Buhari said the procurement was to support the corps in battling crimes.

He explained that the vehicles include 27 Buffalo Double Cabin, MG 2021 model, 15 Toyota Hilux four-wheel drive premium package 2020 model, and 10 Toyota Hiace ambulance buses with full option.

He further expressed optimism that the support will improve the safeguarding of lives and properties in the country.

"This is done to enhance the capacity of the agency to combat crimes and criminality in Nigeria.

"It’s my belief that this will go a long way in protecting lives and property in Nigeria,” Aregbesola stated.
