FG Awards Scholarship To 72 UNIBEN Students

The Federal Government of Nigeria, under the Nigeria Awards, has awarded scholarships to 72 students of the University of Benin (UNIBEN).

The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Dr. Benedicta Ehanire disclosed this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Benin, Edo State.

Ehanire said the scholarship was valued at 250,000 naira which each beneficiary would receive yearly to be used for academic reasons in Nigerian institutions only.

She further explained that the awardees of the scholarship were taken from the Sciences, Social Sciences, and Law faculties of the institution, noting that the scholarship took effect from the 2021 academic session.
