FG, Tinubu Support Jigawa Fire Victims With Cash, Relief Ite

The Federal Government has supported victims of the fire incident at Malamawar-Dangoli village in Kiyawa Local Government Area of Jigawa State. 

The Federal Government distributed millions of Naira worth relief items to the victims.

The distribution of the items was flagged-off on Friday by the Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mustapha Ahmad.

Ahmad was accompanied by the Jigawa state deputy governor, Umar Namadi. 

According to the NEMA boss, the materials donated include bags of rice, beans, millet, cement, roofing sheets, nails and clothing materials.

While sympathising with the victims, he further prayed to God to avert future occurrence of the incident.

Ahmad also announced the donation of the cash sum of N1 million by the Nigeria's president-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the victims. 

Responding, the deputy governor, Namadi, commended the federal government through NEMA and the President-elect Tinubu, for supporting the victims of the fire incident. 

He further urged the beneficiaries of the gesture to make good use of the items they received.
