FHIS Tasks FCT Retirees On Health Status

FCT Health Insurance Scheme FHIS has once again called on retirees to take charge of their well-being by taking advantage of the Retirees Social Health Insurance Programme (RSHIP).

The Director FHIS, Dr M. Ahmed-Danfulani made the call during an advocacy visit to the retired members of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT)  FCT Chapter at the Teachers House in Gwagwalada.

Dr. Danfulani who was represented by the Head FHIS Community-Based Social Health Insurance Programme Mallam Abubakar Musa reiterated the need for retirees to always be on top of their health situation considering the fact that many of them are  elderly.

He said the Director FHIS in his magnanimity has subsidized the premiums for any retiree who wants to enroll with the FHIS.

"The premium for our individual package is N13,500 per annum, however any retiree who can prove so will pay only N12,000 per annum, meaning they are charged only N1000 per month.' 

The Members expressed satisfaction with the idea and promised to get all their members to enroll.
