FIFA Club World Cup Set For Qatar In February 2021

FIFA has confirmed the date for the Club World Cup which is set for Qatar between February 1st to 11th 2021 which would feature the World's continental winning clubs across the globe as Europe would be represented by UEFA Champions League holder, Bayern Munich.

The World Cup 2022 host is Qatar and would also be privileged to host the Club World Cup for the second time having hosted the 2019 edition which was won by Liverpool as understood by AllNews

The competition was originally scheduled to hold in December 2020 but the COVID-19 pandemic has altered lots of sporting activities around the world including the World Cup, Copa America, AFCON, and even the local leagues across Europe, South America, and Africa.

Two clubs have already qualified for the tournament in Qatar - Bayern Munich and Al Duhali, the host nation's representative club.

Others that will follow are the Champions of Continental club Championship from CONCACAF (North America and Central America), CONMEBOL (South America), OFC (Oceanic), AFC (Asia), CAF (Africa).

Qatar got the appointment to host the competition after already proving effective in hosting AFC Champions League and also set to host 44 East zone matches in November and December amidst the pandemic.
