World football governing body FIFA has released the latest ranking after the conclusion of the World Cup Qualifiers with Belgium losing the top spot after a 2-year reign to Brazil and the Super Eagles of Nigeria retaining 30th position.
One thing that contributed to Brazil becoming the top-ranked team in the world is the unbeaten run at the World Cup Qualifiers at the CONMEBOL.
They have also been tipped as a favourite at the Qatar 2022.
Belgium has been the top-ranked country by FIFA has now dropped to second with France and Argentina at 3rd and 4th respectively.
Senegal, Morocco and Nigeria retained the highest-ranking country in Africa -- 20th, 24th and 30th.
