Final-Year Student Commits Suicide In Gombe, Blames Father

A final year student of the Federal University of Kashere (FUK), Gombe State identified as Nalkur Zwalnan Lar has committed suicide. 

Late Lar took his life on Wednesday night at the Santuraki area of Kashere town.

The deceased attributed reasons of his death in a suicide note to poverty while his father was rich.

He lamented that his father had millions but he couldn't afford a phone of N50,000.

Sources revealed that late Lar was from the Faculty of Education.

According to Daily Trust, the deceased had earlier taken poison but disappointed that its effect was too slow and proceeded to hang himself on a tree. 

In his handwritten suicide note, he appreciated his elder brothers for everything they have done for him and urged his mother, who he described as the best mother on earth to take it easy with herself.

He also mentioned names of the people he owed in the suicide note and how they could recover their money. 

According to the note, he apologized some two persons simply identified as Favour and Comfort.

The Head of Information and Protocol of the University, Suleyman Malami Ahmed confirmed the incident.

However, he added that the institution will make a statement available to the public as soon investigation has been completed.
