Fintiri Clinches PDP Governorship Flag in Adamawa

The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has emerged as the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant for the 2023 election.

The governor clinched the party flag with 633 out of 638 votes on Wednesday.

The 633 delegates nodded in support to give the governor a second chance to lead the party in the state guber election come 2023.

This was announced in Yola by the chairman of the electoral committee of the primary election, Dr Gibon Katabs.

While announcing the result, Katabs said, "Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri scored 663 valid votes and is hereby returned as the governorship candidate of PDP for Adamawa in 2023."

He further commended the delegates for their conduct during the exercise successful exercise

While giving his acceptance speech, Governor Fintiri appreciated the delegates for believing in him to return for a second term as governor of the state.

He further congratulated other party candidates, assuring them that the party would continue to stand by them till the end.

While canvassing support for the PDP presidential hopeful, Atiku Abubakar, Fintiri called on supporters to get ready to ensure his victory as the party's bearer for the presidential election.

He also appealed to the candidates that lost the primary election to accept it in good fate, as a will of God.
