Fintiri Congratulates Promoted Immigration Officers In Adamawa

The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has congratulated the 62 newly promoted officers of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), in Yola, the state's capital.

Fintiri encouraged the promoted officers to redouble their efforts in serving the nation.

Represented by Usman Sule, the state's Permanent Secretary on Security, the Governor advised those who were not yet promoted to be patient and continue their diligent service in preparation for future opportunities.

Governor Fintiri assured the officers of his administration's unwavering support to security agencies, ensuring a peaceful state and facilitating their duties.

The officers were earlier decorated by the Controller of the NIS in the state, Ibrahim Maina.

During the decoration ceremony on Wednesday, Maina said the promotions were granted to the officers as a result of their unwavering commitment, diligence, and sacrifice exhibited while fulfilling their duties.

“This promotion will not have been achieved without getting out of your comfort zones, therefore to whom much is given much is expected.

“So you should continue to put in your best for the service and the nation at large”, Maina added.

Responding on behalf of the promoted officers, Deputy Controller Bashir Kawu expressed gratitude for the recognition bestowed upon them and pledged to uphold the trust placed in them.

He reassured of their unwavering commitment by promising to work even harder to meet and exceed expectations.
