The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has condoled the presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) over the demise his long-time aide, Abdullahi Nyako.
Fintiri sent his condolences in a statement on Sunday signed by his spokesperson, Humwashi Wonosikou.
The governor who described the death as a great loss to the state and Nigeria said he was a great son to Atiku.
He added that late Nyako will be remembered for his loyalty and steadfastness in service to his community.
According to the statement, Fintiri said: “He will be sorely missed as a towering figure in the campaign of His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, going into elections in 2023.
"Nyako left at a time his services are needed most.
"The entire Adamawa community and I share with Your Excellency and the bereaved family, the feelings of great loss at this moment of deep sorrow."
