Fire Consumes Vehicle Conveying Used Batteries

A fire incident has occured on Monday morning on the Sagamu/Benin Express Way inbound to Odogbolu in Ogun State.

Eyewitnesses say the fire consumed a vehicle conveying used batteries.

The cause of the fire had not been determined as of the time of filing this report but information has it that it may not be unconnected to the used batteries being conveyed by the vehicle.

There were also no reports of fatalities or injuries.

Eyewitnesses also revealed that the Fire Service has been contacted and the Nigerian Police notified.

Also, personnel of Ogun TRACE were observed on ground monitoring and controlling and diverting traffic to outbound Ijebu-Ode on the Odogbolu axis.
