On Thursday, a fire broke out at a Mobil petrol station on Obaferni Awolowo Way, near the Airport Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos State.
The incident occurred at 11 a.m., during the peak period of fuel sales, resulting in pandemonium and destruction.
Twitter user Dubem, also known as #Dub3m__, tweeted a video of a burning Mobil filling station near Lagos Airport Hotel on Obafemi Awolowo Road in Ikeja.
The description reads: "Mobil filling station, near Lagos Airport Hotel on Obafemi Awolowo Road, Ikeja on fire right now. #LAG_FireService you are needed asap."
Emergency personnel, including ambulances, have been dispatched to the location to assist victims and manage the situation.
As of the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
