A section of the palace of the Oba of Isheri-Olofin, Oba Wahab Balogun was on Sunday gutted by fire.
It was gathered that fire was caused by high voltage electricity, razing one of the rooms in an eight-bedroom bungalow on the premises of the palace
AllNews learnt that a yet-to-be-identified man got choked with the smoke as the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) officials and able-bodied men in the area rushed to the palace to quench the fire.

The victim was said to have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The spokesperson for LASEMA, Nosa Okunbor said the post-disaster assessment was conducted by the team in the presence of some palace officials and there is no threat of re-ignition as the fire was extinguished with a copious volume of water.
“Also, the eight-room bungalow did not show signs of structural defects as a result of the fire. The operation has been concluded”, he said.
