A raging fire on Wednesday destroyed an illegal fuel depot in Yola, Adamawa State capital.
The fire was said to have started on Wednesday evening at the depot located at Maidoki, near Yola International Airport, Jimeta.
The fire started at about 6:30 pm, destroying petrol products said to have been bought and stored at the depot by a major black marketer.
It was learnt that vehicles parked around the vicinity were also destroyed by the huge fire.
The fire had burned into the night and was visible to Yola residents several kilometres away in the growing darkness.
