Five Dead, 40 Wounded In Wisconsin Christmas Parade

A car was launched into a Christmas parade in the Waukesha area of Wisconsin, United States which led to the death of five and injuring at least 40 people. The incident happened around 4:39 pm on Sunday.

In a video posted online, a red SUV was seen appearing to run over more than a dozen people before crowds ran for their lives.

On the Christmas ground, there were small children laying all over the road, with police officers also at the scene. Photos circulating on Twitter showed police cars and ambulances on the streets in the aftermath of the incident.

The Waukesha Police Chief, Dan Thompson, disclosed that someone has been put in custody as a suspect. Thompson also revealed that some of the wounded were taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The Christmas parade is one done for the coming Christmas performed by many around the world for the birth of Jesus Christ.
