Five Dead, Six Missing As Migrant Boat Sinks In Tunisia

The Tunisian coast guard has said they recovered five dead bodies of migrants and rescued 21 others, while six persons are still missing after a boat capsized off the coast of eastern Sfax city in Tunisia.

According to Anadolu News Agency on Friday, efforts are ongoing to find the six migrants who went missing.

In Tunisia, the authorities have pulled down illegal migration attempts and arrested hundreds of irregular migrants.

For years, countries such as Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Mauritania and Morocco have witnessed attempts by migrants, mainly from sub-Saharan Africa, to reach Europe.

While some of the migrants manage to reach their destination, others die during the journey.
