Five Family Members Kidnapped In Ondo, N10 Million Demanded

Five family members have been kidnapped from Ajowa Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State by some unknown gunmen at Ayere Area in Kogi State on Sunday.

The kidnapped victims were Mr. Ibrahim Olusa, his wife, and three children. They were reported to be traveling to Abuja from Ajowa Akoko, where they went for Easter celebration before their abduction.

It was learned that the family have been contacted by the kidnappers and were demanding N10 million before they could release the victims.

According to the Punch, the incident has brought a lot of apprehension to the residents of the town.

A community leader in Ajowa Akoko and immediate past Chairman of Ajowa Akoko Community Council, Mr. Ajayi Bakare, also confirmed the development and attributed the kidnapping and robberies on the road to the deplorable section of the road which fell under the Kogi State.
