The teenager's corpse was found during the search of a man and his kids who fell into the overflown drainage
Residents of Dangi roundabout of Tarauni local government in Kano on Monday found the corpse of a teenager while searching for a man and his kids who fell into an overflown drainage.
Some areas in Kano on Sunday experienced frequent rainfall that lasted almost throughout the day, causing overflow of some drainage systems and streets.
On Monday, a man and his children slipped and fell into one of the overflown drianages when he tried crossing over.
He and his family went missing, promoting the search by passersby.
However, instead of finding the man or his kids, the corpse of a teenager was found.
Kano PPRO, SP Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa said the police was still searching for the family of the unidentified dead girl.
