Florence Pugh Poised To Join 'Dune' Sequel

Black Widow actress Florence Pugh is reportedly in talks to join the cast of Dune: Part 2.

Pugh's depiction of the titular character's 'sister' in the aforementioned Marvel movie was well-received and seeing her in Denis Villeneuve's sequel would definitely boost the film box office earnings.

The Hollywood Reporter says that the 26-year-old star is being considered for the part of the new part of Princess Irulan, the daughter of Emperor Shaddam IV, who is also yet to be cast for the second part of the sci-fi epic.

According to the report, three roles are yet to be filled, including that of Feyd-Rautha, the sadistic younger nephew of Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, who is the arch-nemesis of Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet).

Pugh is said to be waiting for the latest draft of the script of the sequel to peruse before consenting to join the second part. She also has to ensure that her schedule can accommodate the production.

Dune: Part 2 is scheduled for release in 2023. Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, and Zendaya will all reprise their roles.
