Flutterwave Flytime Fest Pays Tribute To Late Entertainers [

During the second leg of the Flutterwave Flytime Festival, headlined by YBNL frontline act, Asake, entertainer who died in 2022 were honoured.

The festival took a minute to remember the Nigerian celebrities that were lost.

Ada Ameh

Ada Ameh died on July 17 at age 48, barely two years after losing her daughter on October 20, 2020.

She was said to have been a guest of an oil company toyshop in Delta State and his family when she suddenly collapsed.

It was gathered that she was rushed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s hospital but passed on before they arrived at the facility.

Dejo Tunfulu

Dejo Tunfulu died on Friday, April 1 at the age of 50 after battling with chronic kidney disease for several years.

Tafa Oloyede

Tafa Oloyede passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at age 69.

According to information sourced from the Facebook page of Omo Lamurudu Media, the actor passed on at his residence at Arowomole, Kajola area of Osogbo, Osun State.

Rico Swavey

Patrick Fakoya, popularly known as Rico Swavey, passed away on October 13, at age 29.

He was hospitalized after his involvement in a car accident but unfortunately, he didn’t make it.

Sola Onayiga

Veteran actress Sola Onayiga, who played the role of Ireti in Kunle Bantefa’s popular soap ‘Fuji House of Commotion’, died on July 17.

The ‘Checkmate’ actress who was popularly known for her comic role in the now-rested soap passed away after battling an undisclosed ailment.

The news of her death was made public by the Founder of Best of Nollywood Awards, Seun Oloketuyi.

Osinachi Nwachukwu

Gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu, popular for her hit song, ‘Ekwueme’ died on April 8 at the age of 42.

Osinachi was said to be battling an undisclosed ailment months before she reportedly breathed her last at a hospital in Abuja.

Days after her death, it was alleged that she did not die from an undisclosed ailment but from the constant abuse she suffered at the hands of her husband.

Her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, was arrested in connection with her death.

Lari Williams

Veteran Nollywood actor, Lari Williams, died on February 27, at the age of 81.

The accomplished actor, who had a two-year-lecturing contract with the University of Calabar (UNICAL) to teach drama and acting, particularly speech and acting technique, died in his hometown, Ikom, Cross-River following a long illness.

Sammy Okposo

Sammy Okposo died on November 25, at the age of 51 in Lagos. He reportedly slumped while he was being treated for exhaustion.

Shortly before his demise, he held the Sammie Okposo Praise Party in Lagos on November 4, 2022, and he also shared a throwback video of the concert on his Instagram page a day before he died.

Ifeanyi Adeleke

Ifeanyi Adeleke, the three-year-old son of Davido drowned in his father’s swimming pool in Banana Island, Lagos on October 31.

He was underwater for an unspecified period before he was spotted.

The late Ifeanyi was the first son of singer, Davido and his lover Chioma. He is also Davido’s third child, as the singer has three other children, Imade, Hailey and Davidson, from three different women.
