The Flying Eagles of Nigeria fell to a 1-0 defeat in their opening fixture of the 2023 U-20 AFCON.
Ladan Bosso's side were beaten by the young Teranga Lions of Senegal as the tourney kicked off in Egypt on Sunday.
Senegal got the job done in the first half as Souleymane Faye scored the only goal of the game.

The result means the Eagles take the bottom position in Group A of the competition.
Nigeria is drawn in Group A with hosts Egypt, Mozambique and Senegal.
Earlier, Mozambique and Egypt shared the spoils in a goalless draw.
Bosso's side will meet the hosts next and will be hoping to bounce back against them on February 22.
