Former Brazil President Calls To Support Palestinian Rights

Former Brazilian President, Lula da Silva has called for support of Palestinians' rights.

Quds Press reported on Sunday that Former President Da Silva reiterated his view that the United Nations should be restructured so that progress can be made regarding major issues such as the creation of a Palestinian State.

He also called for an end to America's veto power at the UN Security Council.

Quds Press also reported a Brazilian MP saying that Da Silva backed the Palestinian right to self-determination during his reign, as well as supporting the right to establish the Palestinian State.

Seventy-six-year-old Da Silva was the President of Brazil from 2003 to 2010.

He spent time in jail on corruption charges that were later annulled, allowing him to run for office again.
