Nigerian international and former Chelsea midfielder has completed a move to Stoke City from Trabzonspor at the age of 33. He left Chelsea for Tianjin Teda in 2017 and after that, he had been to Middlesbrough and later, Trabzonspor, and now he is back in England to the second tier of English football, EFL Championship.
The former Chelsea No. 12 had a trophy-laden season at Chelsea winning the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, 2 Premier League titles, 4 FA Cups, A community shield and 2 League Cups.
He was brought from Lyn for 20 million Euros in 2006 after a wonderful performance at the national level for Nigeria.
Stoke City has announced the signing on their website and on their twitter page after the midfielder signed a deal with the club.
