The former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku has withdrawn from the governorship race under the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Nasarawa State.
The former minister withdrew from the race shortly after the commencement of voting in the Nasarawa local government area of the state.
He said his decision came after a series of consultations with friends and associates.
However, he did not specify what led to his withdrawal but said he would comment on his reasons soon.
“I decided to withdraw from the contest after due consultations with my family, political associates, and other stakeholders.
“In my opinion, the process of the primary election is ongoing", he said.
