Fast-rising Ghanaian singer Black Sherif has been sued for an alleged breach of contract by the CEO of Waynes Chavis Consult.
Shadrach Agyei Owusu accused him of abandonment, signing a record deal with another label, Empire Entertainment without his approval after investing in the rapper's career as an artiste.
In other documents, Owusu is seeking an injunction to be placed on Black Sherif, restricting him from playing at any event until the case has been resolved.
The plaintiff is also asking for an order to be placed on the funds the rapper has accrued through streaming and other revenue sources.
These demands are contained in the writ of summons dated April 11, 2022, to which Black Sherif and his lawyers are required to respond within eight days.
Black Sherif, who currently bagged a distribution deal with Empire, an international label, and his lawyers have not responded to the lawsuit publicly.
