 Former PDP Governor Dumps Party In Kaduna

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has suffered a great loss as former Kaduna State Governor, Ramalan Yero dumped party in the state.

Yero was the Governor of the state between December 15, 2012, to May 29, 2015.

He had served as the Deputy Governor to Late Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa who died in a plane crash in 2012.

The former governor made his decision known in a letter he personally signed, dated September 30 in Kaduna.

The letter was addressed to the Ward Chairman, PDP Kaura, Zaria Local Government Area of the state.

According to reports, the letter partly reads: “With grateful to Almighty Allah, I write to extend my sincere greetings and to formally inform you of my decision to leave the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).

“In view of this, I hereby tender my resignation as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party with effect from 30th September, 2023. 

"Enclosed herewith, is my party membership card dully returned."
