Former WWE Star Mark Henry Itching To Bring Braun Strowman T

Former wrestler and strongman Mark Henry is aiming to bring Braun Strowman to the AEW following his recent release from WWE.

In a chat with TMZ Sports, Henry stated that wrestling fans may not have seen the last of the gigantic performer after his stint with WWE came to an end after a period of 8 years.

Mark Henry is presently a scout for AEW and when he was asked by the news outlet if he was planning to bring Strowman to the company, said the former WWE star was top on his list.

"Super high on my list", he replied. "It's not all Mark Henry decision, but there's already interest on both sides. Hopefully, by the time he's allowed to wrestle in August, I think the middle of August, then we could have a serious conversation about contractual things of that nature.

"But right now, there's interest on both sides. I love that dude."

According to the news outlet, Henry and Strowman have known each other since their days as participants in strongman competitions, with the former playing a pivotal role in Strowman getting into the wrestling sport.

Speaking further, Henry said: I talked to him, I mentored him but I tell him all the time, I can't talk business. When your contract expires, you call and let me know and then we'll have a talk."

If the deal does go through, Strowman (real name Adam Scherr) will have to go by a different in-ring name as WWE owns the rights to 'Braun Strowman'.

Henry also talked about the possibility of getting back into the ring, saying that he wanted to wrestle again so he could boast of performing in four decades.

"I got a lot left in the tank. I said this before, man. Once I turn 50 ... I said I wanna wrestle again so I can say I wrestled in 4 decades. Not many wrestlers get to that, not many. Especially at a high level. I wanna be able to get there and hopefully by October I'll be at 100%."

The 50-year-old revealed that he had a bit of work to do to get back into shape, stating: "I want it to be very skillful and I want it to be well thought out."
