In an event marking the commencement of the 2023/2024 academic session, Fountain University, Osogbo received 545 new students into various colleges.

The occasion was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Professor Olayinka Ramota Karim who expressed gratitude for the privilege of witnessing the matriculation ceremony and emphasized the institution's dedication to nurturing competent graduates with high moral standards.

She commended the collective efforts of the university's staff, management, and governing bodies in sustaining its upward trajectory.

Students were reminded of the institution's unwavering standards and expectations for academic performance, as outlined by the National Universities Commission (NUC) Core Curriculum Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS).

In her address, Professor Karim urged students to uphold exemplary character and adhere to the university's rules and regulations.

Emphasizing the importance of discipline, responsibility, and integrity, she encouraged students to approach challenges with resilience and view them as opportunities for growth.

As students embark on their academic journey, Professor Karim encouraged them to leverage the university's resources, engage in extracurricular activities, and pursue personal development.

She reminded students of their role as ambassadors of Fountain University, both within the institution and in society at large.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Karim called upon students to embrace their mission beyond academic achievements, striving for personal growth, character development, and practical skills acquisition.
